  • What does FOREX mean?

    FOREX stands for Foreign Exchange, The foreign exchange market (currency, forex, or FX) is where currency trading takes place.

  • What is traded on the FOREX market?

    The currencies of different nations are traded against each other in the FOREX market. The foreign exchange market (forex, FX, or currency market) is a worldwide decentralized over-the-counter financial market for the trading of currencies. Financial centers around the world function as anchors of trading between a wide range of different types of buyers and sellers around the clock, with the exception of weekends. In general, the eight most traded currencies (in no specific order) are the U.S. dollar (USD), the Canadian dollar (CAD), the euro (EUR), the British pound (GBP), the Swiss franc (CHF), the New Zealand dollar (NZD), the Australian dollar (AUD) and the Japanese yen (JPY).

  • How much money is required to become a FOREX trader?

    The minimum account size that we have seen is $250. However, the FOREX brokers that we feel most comfortable with require a $2,500 minimum. Please see our Broker's page for more information.

  • How much time is required to become a FOREX trader?

    While training, there is no minimum time commitment, but the more time you devote to it, the sooner you will attain your reward. Once you are trading live, your trading style and objectives will determine the amount of time required.

  • What type of computer do I need in order to trade the FOREX?

    You need a computer, FOREX Trading Education, our trading tools and Internet access. More information about our Forex tools here.

  • Where can I trade FOREX?

  • Where can I open an account to trade the FOREX?

    There are no commissions in FOREX trading.

  • What is an Expert Advisor?

  • What is Forex?

    The simultaneous buying of one currency and selling of another. Foreign exchange (FOREX) is any type of financial instrument-from electronic transactions to paper currency, checks, and signed, written orders called bills of exchange-that's used to make payments between countries is considered foreign exchange.

    Large-scale currency trading, with minimums of $1 million, is also considered foreign exchange and can be handled as spot price transactions, forward contract transactions, or swap contracts. Spot transactions are closed within two days, and the others are set for an agreed-upon price at an agreed-upon date in the future.

  • What is Metatrader?

    MetaTrader is an independent trading platform that was developed for trading forex, options, and futures. MetaTrader is made by the MetaQuotes company and it was created in 2002. MetaTrader was one of the first truly programmable trading platforms that came complete with its own programming language.

    MetaTrader is a software platform that is independent of the forex broker. The brokers that support using the metatrader platform do package their own versions, but the back end software is maintained by the MetaQuotes Software Corporation.
